While people debate whether the founder of Spotify is serious about buying Arsenal, the Guardian report that Daniel Ek started making enquiries over the weekend, after he sent his tweet, and that an official approach could be made as early as next week.

There is no sign that Stan Kroenke has any intention of selling, and being hated seems to be something he’s happy to live with in his pursuit of even more money, but the inclusion of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp is ensuring fans back Ek’s move with a vigour they might not have shown had he been on his own.

Ek will have no problem raising the money required to buy Arsenal but a number of problems already sit on the horizon, not least the differences in valuation and selling point.

Ek is believed the be preparing a £1.8bn offer, the club is valued at £2bn and Stan Kroenke, if he is to sell at all, is said to want far more than that.
