Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs interested in a summer move for Evan N’Dicka, and the Gunners reportedly have an advantage in the race.

Bild report that Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are all watching Evan N’Dicka ahead of the summer. They add that the Gunners have the advantage of a good relationship with the player’s advisor Michael N’Cho Ibou, who worked with them on the Nicolas Pépé deal.

The German outlet lists the defender’s market value as €22.5m, which wouldn’t be an unreasonable price even in the current financial situation.

This isn’t the first time Arsenal have been linked with a move for N’Dicka. Sky Sports reported that they were looking at him last March, among a number of clubs.

Rather amusingly, N’Dicka later responded to an Instagram poll asking who Arsenal should sign next by picking himself.

In the end, Arsenal didn’t make a move for N’Dicka in 2020, choosing instead to pursue Gabriel Magalhaes. However, they could go back for him this year.

After letting Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos leave in the January window, Arsenal also have David Luiz running down his contract at the moment.

It’s possible they choose to replace the trio internally, with the likes of William Saliba and Konstantinos Mavropanos returning from loans. But if they decide they still need reinforcements, perhaps after further sales or loans, it looks like N’Dicka is a potential candidate to join the club.

After recovering from a ligament injury, N’Dicka has made 12 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt this season. He’s a starter whenever he’s fit and has played the full 90 in their last six Bundesliga games as they’ve won five and drawn one.
