Joe Willock and Rob Holding returned to London Colney for training sessions this week, even though most of the Arsenal squad are on holiday.

Both Joe Willock and Rob Holding posted pictures on their Instagram stories confirming they were at London Colney in the last couple of days training.

The majority of the Arsenal squad are still off on holiday. According to reports, the main bulk of the squad will return on August 22nd. However, some will return this Friday, mostly those whose seasons ended early after loan moves.

Neither Holding nor Willock ended their campaigns early, both featuring in the FA Cup final squad on August 1st. Holding played the full 90 minutes that day, whilst Willock made the bench.

They probably both just decided to get a couple of individual sessions in to maintain their fitness. After all, given the testing protocols in place, it’s safer to do so at Arsenal than a local gym. Holding may also have a specific regime after his recent injury problems.

I’d expect them both to return to full training properly next week with the rest.
