GhanaSoccerNet report that Paris Saint-Germain are keen to join Arsenal in the race for Thomas Partey, but he prefers the Gunners.

The 26-year-old says he’s happy with Atletico Madrid, but he also dreams of following in Michael Essien’s footsteps by continuing his career in the Premier League.

Whilst PSG are ready to ‘use their financial muscle’ to secure a deal, Partey is telling close friends and advisors that he wants to join Arsenal instead.

This update comes after Partey’s international teammate Kasim Nuhu admitted he’d be happy to see his friend move to Arsenal.

In fact, all the recent reports suggest Partey’s preference is North London. He wants to play under Arteta, he’s a boyhood Arsenal fan and his partner often spends time in London already. There are plenty of factors pushing him towards the club.

As we mention in all our reports on the subject, the real issue is Arsenal finding an agreement with Atletico. Right now, it’s still difficult to see any realistic way the two teams could reach a deal.
