Goal’s Juventus correspondent Romeo Agresti claims the club have no intention to sell Rabiot in the winter window. They believe he has a key role to play in the remainder of their season.

In his article on the Goal website, Agresti says that despite persistent talk in England over an offer from Everton or Arsenal, the thought of a sale isn’t even slightly on Juventus’ radar.

Previous reports suggested Juventus would consider an offer between €25m and €30m. Some even claimed Rabiot spoke personally with Mikel Arteta over a potential Arsenal move.

The rumours were believable due to the player’s inconsistent start to life in Italy. He’s only up to seven starts in all competitions at the midway point of the season. He also only completed 90 minutes in consecutive games for the first time in December.

The English media billed Rabiot as a Granit Xhaka replacement. With Xhaka set to stay, perhaps Arsenal wouldn’t push for a move as strongly at this stage anyway. Regardless, it appears this transfer is off the table.
