Unai Emery was expected to speak at the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) in Wembley on Friday but the event has now been cancelled due to the negative comments’ when it was announced.

The Arsenal head coach was expected to deliver a ‘managerial masterclass’ but, as uncertainty mounts over his future and a section of the Arsenal fanbase go feral once again, it’s had to be cancelled.

The message, sent to students before it was leaked and then deleted, continued, “We would like to take this opportunity to remind all students of the digital footprint that you create, which could impact you throughout your career within the football and sports industry.

“Please be mindful of this when interacting with UCFB guests, partners and fellow industry professionals.”

In other words, don’t be a d**k on the internet.

Of course, for ‘negative comments’ we can read ‘abuse’ which is simply not acceptable, no matter what you think of him as a coach and the job he is doing at Arsenal which is, as much as I love it, just a football club. He isn’t running around trying to murder anyone’s kids.

If you still can’t work out the difference between criticising someone’s actions and offering criticism in a way that doesn’t attack the person as a whole, perhaps you should reconsider your place in society until you can, both online and off.
