Arsenal have extended their partnership with WorldRemit, who initially joined as their ‘official online money transfer partner’ in 2017.

Arsenal announced the extension to their partnership with WorldRemit on the club website this week.

As part of the deal, the club will be working with WorldRemit to offer two youth football coaches from across Africa or the Americas the chance to attend an exclusive training programme with Arsenal football development coaches in London.

The old partnership in 2017 offered the same opportunity, but this time it will be opened up to both male and female coaches, with one of each getting the chance to come to London for the event.

“We are extremely proud to continue our long-term relationship with WorldRemit,” commented Arsenal commercial director, Peter Silverstone.

“We place huge value on building strong, long-term partnerships and it has been hugely rewarding to see this partnership and WorldRemit’s global presence evolve since we first joined together in 2017.

“As well as continuing to support this growth and delivering on our partnership objectives, we are also excited for the return of the Future Stars programme, which champions our shared belief in the positive impact that grassroots football coaches have on the young people they train.”

WorldRemit will also continue to get all the same perks as they did in their original deal, with their branding on advertising hoardings, TV interview backdrop, and so on.

Arsenal have announced a few commercial partnerships in the last month, with Camden Town Brewery and Chilean winery Santa Rita also signing on. With the club making substantial moves in the transfer market this summer, it’s important they keep supplementing their income with these kinds of commercial deals.
