Arsenal had scouts in Italy to watch Suso once again as his AC Milan side beat Chievo 2-1 on Saturday.

This follows from reports last month that Arsenal had met with the AC Milan man’s agent as they considered a €40m move for a player who is now being described as not a ‘first-choice’ target for the club.

Although Milan have now won five Serie A games in a row, Suso hasn’t found the back of the net since January.

The 25-year-old winger has scored six goals, with seven assists in 30 games this season.

AC Milan are still hopeful they can get the Spaniard to renew his contract (when it’s not being reported that they don’t want to give him a new contract), which is currently set to expire in 2022 but with Ivan Gazidis now in charge of that sort of thing we can probably expect Suso to leave for free eventually.
