Arsenal have reportedly met with AC Milan player Suso’s ‘entourage’ with claims being made that the Italians ‘are in no mood’ to offer him a new deal however Spurs are said to be considering offering €40m for him.

Just a few days ago it was being claimed that AC Milan were hopeful that Ivan Gazdis could get the player to renew his contract with the Serie A giants but now it seems they’ve realised they’re paying an awful lot of money to a man who is shit at his job.

Now we read that the club are willing to listen to offers for Suso and that Arsenal are still in the mix. And they’re also still trying to get him to renew while Tottenham want to throw €40m at them for Suso. On Wednesday AC Milan were said to be in ‘constant contact’ with his agent, Alessandro Lucci, and have reportedly offered to up his wages from €2.2m-a-year to €4m (approx. £67kpw).

For the record, the €40m that Spurs are allegedly ready to offer happens to be the amount of Suso’s release clause, something Gazidis is supposed to be negotiating upwards in any new deal.

In other words, nobody really knows what is going on.

The 25-year-old winger is also, apparently, reluctant to move after the birth of his first child.

Suso is a relatively new addition to the Arsenal rumour mill. He has 23 Serie A appearances this season with five goals and eight assists. He is under contract until 2022.
