When Lucas Torreira’s goal went in to give Arsenal the lead on Saturday, his family were watching back at home, and they filmed their reaction to the strike.

With less than 10 minutes to go and the score at 0-0 against Huddersfield, Torreira found himself picking up a position in the penalty area to try and find Arsenal a winning goal. When Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s cross came in a bit behind him, the Uruguayan improvised a bicycle kick to score and secure the three points.

His family were certainly pleased to see the goal go in, watching together on TV:

In fact, the celebrations were considered a bit overenthusiastic by one member of the family, who shouted: “you’re going to break the fridge” in the background.

Nonetheless, they all seemed to enjoy the “golazo” from the young midfielder as much as the Arsenal fans in the stadium did. It must be a proud moment to see your son’s hard work paying off with a goal in front of tens of thousands of supporters in one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

After last week’s goal against Tottenham, Torreira is providing those back home with plenty to celebrate at the moment. Let’s hope for more of the same in the coming weeks and months.
