Arsenal somehow managed to earn a point against Liverpool despite being 2-0 down at half-time but did we actually learn anything?

Arsenal’s first half against Liverpool was nothing short of shambolic. The Gunners were 2-0 down at the break and while we knew we had it ‘all to play for’ in the second half not many people actually thought we could bounce back.

It’s nice to be wrong sometimes.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Granit Xhaka, who were both poor apart from this, and Mesut Ozil managed to put Arsenal ahead 3-2 within minutes. Although Roberto Firmino netted a second later in the second half, we earned a well-fought point when no one thought we could.

However, we still have such a long way to go and we can’t just sweep that first half performance under the carpet.

Here’s six things we learned from Arsenal’s roller coaster clash against Liverpool.

Is Jack really back?

Jack’s been decent in the Europa League, okay in the League Cup and decent during his Premier League performances against West Ham and Newcastle. However, against Liverpool, he really wasn’t.

Does he need to continue working on his fitness? Or has his ship sailed? Was he only good at Bournemouth because he’d found his level?

I fear it’s option #2.
