An Arsenal spokesperson revealed the club are looking at ways to help Emmanuel Eboue, after hearing about the defender’s personal problems.

Eboue recently told the Mirror that he’s going through a messy divorce. As a result, he doesn’t have a job due to health issues, money, or a permanent home.

Fortunately, former club Galatasaray have reportedly offered him a role in their youth coaching setup. Now, Arsenal have also stated their intent to support the 34-year-old.

“We are all so sorry to hear the reports about Manu’s recent difficulties,” a spokesperson for the Gunners told the Daily Mail. “[We] will explore whether we can help in any way.”

Hopefully Eboue will be pleased to hear his former employers are happy to help. Arsenal fans will also be glad to hear the news, since the Ivorian’s such a popular figure in North London.

Although he wasn’t the world’s best right-back, the former Gunner regularly left fans with smiles on their faces. With any luck, the former footballer won’t need much help from Arsenal anyway.

The new coaching role in Turkey will provide him with a good salary and opportunities to rise up the ranks, according to reports. But it’s never a bad idea to have a back-up plan.

Good luck to Eboue in his new role, and I hope we’ll see him back at the Emirates soon!
