Jack Wilshere has reiterated his desire to win a place in the Arsenal team.

The midfielder made his 9th appearance of the season in the 1-0 defeat to Cologne on Thursday night.
Still just limited to cup games and appearances off the bench in the Premier League, Wilshere is, perhaps, not getting as many opportunities as he’d like.
However, he remains committed to winning a place back in the Arsenal side, and isn’t thinking about a future away from the club just yet – despite how his comments are being reported in some quarters.
“Of course I want to be playing,” he said, as reported by the Daily Star.
“It’s difficult when you play every three weeks.
“It’s the same as every player. I’m still determined to win my place back, I’m working hard and we’ll see what the future holds – if I can get in or I can’t.”
Wilshere is out of contract in the summer and is struggling to convince England manager Gareth Southgate to call him up to the national team again.
Hence, the coming months could be crucial in deciding where his future lies.
It was only a week ago that Wilshere was talking about becoming a legend at Arsenal.
“I feel proud to be an Arsenal player – the 1989 side are legends and hopefully one day I can be an Arsenal legend too,” he said at the premier of “89”.
“As an Arsenal man I want to win the league and emulate them.
“I want to make history myself at the club. It’s a pleasure to see these heroes.”
However, things could change should he not receive more first team opportunities.
Wilshere’s performances in the cup games have been eye-catching, and have given the impression he’s really fighting for his place.
Arsene Wenger, though, has settled on his “A” team. At the moment, it seems only an injury or a suspension would give Wilshere a chance.
He’s likely to be on the bench against Burnley on Sunday.
