Odion Ighalo thinks Jack Wilshere should leave Arsenal to play for one of the Gunners’ Premier League rivals.

Jack has struggled to break into the Arsenal first-team for Premier League matches this season, with only a couple of substitute appearances during the current campaign. As a result, Gareth Southgate has used the lack of league starts as an excuse not to pick Wilshere for England.

With the World Cup coming up next summer, Jack won’t want to be out of the national side for too much longer, and Odion Ighalo has some advice on how to get back in it.

He told Premier League Daily: “For him to get more games and to be ready for the World Cup, he has to play more.

“If he’s still there and he’s not getting the opportunities to play, I’d advise him to leave. He’s a very good player, he can’t be there sitting on the bench. If he cannot play at Arsenal, he can play at any other big team in the Premier League”

Although the words are very complimentary to Wilshere, who will probably be happy to hear that a fellow professional thinks he could play at any team in the Premier League, Arsenal and their fans are unlikely to be so happy about the comments.

Jack has contract negotiations coming up in December, and assuming nothing goes wrong between now and then, it’ll probably be in the best interests of all parties for him to sign back up. Anyone stirring the pot between now and then is only going to make a straight-forward negotiation more complicated than it needs to be.
