Arsenal put in arguably their best performance of the season so far against Spurs at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

Admittedly, I’m not sure many fans predicted a win against our bitter north London rivals this weekend. However, those of us who did think we would get battered by Spurs are hugely glad to be wrong on this occasion.

Every single player turned up in style against Spurs, who are now only one point above Arsenal in the Premier League table, and it was an electrifying display.

Although the result could have gone either way during the opening 20 minutes, with the Gunners probably having the better of the chances, after that, it was all Arsenal and they could have won by several goals if their finishing had been on-point.

Here’s how they all got on individually.

2. Midfield

Aaron Ramsey – 7.5

While Rambo only put in one key pass and completed 27/37 passes all game, he didn’t stop running throughout and if him and Alexis didn’t hate each other, perhaps he could have influenced the outcome more.

Granit Xhaka – 7

Despite most of us dreading the moment he would get sent off after his yellow card, Xhaka managed to stay on the pitch.

He had two shots and won three aerial duels.

Hector Bellerin – 8

Just as we all thought Bellerin was never going to get back to his best, he puts in a solid performance during a huge match.

The Spaniard didn’t have the best pass accuracy (68%) but he seemed on the ball and drove play forward.

Sead Kolasinac – 7

The wing-back was a boss as usual, getting back but also quick on the counter-attack.

He made five clearances and one interception.
