It wasn’t easy but Arsenal managed to beat West Brom 2-0 on Monday night.

While the first half wasn’t the best football Arsenal have played, the second half was much better.

Nacho Monreal was fantastic and saved the Gunners’ skin more than once, while Alexandre Lacazette did the business at the other end, scoring his third and fourth goals in red and white.

3. Forwards

Aaron Ramsey – 7

The Wales international started further forward just behind Lacazette but was given the freedom to roam around just about anywhere. His runs were beautiful and he seems to be going from strength to strength. He also earned the Gunners their penalty, which led to Laca’s second goal of the game.

Alexis Sanchez – 7

The Chilean had his moments and made his usual twists and turns, which make everyone go ‘wow’ and applaud, but he also picked up a needless yellow for back-chatting the referee and consistently lost the ball in prime areas. He needs to give the ball away sooner but that’s not exactly new information.

He was dispossess four times, more than anyone else on the pitch.

Alexandre Lacazette – 8

Always great to see our fox in the box score. That’s four in three home games now. The 26-year-old was generally brilliant and his penalty was superb. Not only did he score twice but he had four shots in total, only one of which was off target. Love him.
