It wasn’t easy but Arsenal managed to beat West Brom 2-0 on Monday night.

While the first half wasn’t the best football Arsenal have played, the second half was much better.

Nacho Monreal was fantastic and saved the Gunners’ skin more than once, while Alexandre Lacazette did the business at the other end, scoring his third and fourth goals in red and white.

2. Midfield

Hector Bellerin – 7

The right-back gave the ball away cheaply a couple of times in the first half, was dispossessed and still needs to work on his crossing. However, he gradually seems to be adapting to the wing-back role and has been looking far sharper in recent games. He also had a pass success rate of 90%.

Mohamed Elneny – 6.5

The midfielder did what he needed to do, as always, and while he doesn’t add much of a spark to the attack, he’s solid. Considering how many players we seem to have that enjoy doing silly things, it’s oddly refreshing. He also completed 72/77 passes (94%).

Granit Xhaka – 6

Xhaka was once again pretty sloppy. It hasn’t been his season so far… apart from the Community Shield against Chelsea.

Sead Kolasinac – 7

Once again, Arsenal fans loved the Tank’s enthusiasm. He linked up well with Monreal and seems to be impossible to hurt, which is handy if you play for our club…

He won three out of three tackles and won two aerial duels.
