Wojciech Szczesny is reportedly moving closer to his ridiculous move to Juventus.

Juventus are now reportedly willing to offer Arsenal €6-7m for Szczesny, having previously put just €5m on the table.

The Gunners don’t want to sell their number two for that little and are asking for €15m. However, since Juventus will never pay that, it’s thought that they’re willing to compromise at €8, which is still quite frankly ridiculously low given the 27-year-old’s talent.

Woj only has one year left on his current deal with Arsenal, which is probably why Arsene Wenger’s side can’t demand more, and while he has returned from his second year on loan at Roma, it’s thought that he’ll be heading back to Serie A soon.

The Poland international is said to be replacing 39-year-old Gianluigi Buffon but will have to sit on the bench for most of the season running up to the World Cup while the Italy legend sees out the remainder of his contract.

story trackerThe move is still perplexing most Gooners who had their hearts set on Woj, who’s been a Gunner since 2006 when he was just 16, returning to north London and battling 35-year-old Petr Cech for the number one shirt.

Many believe that if the goalkeeper is ready to sit on the bench at Juve, why not do the same at Arsenal?
