Newcastle are reportedly keen on signing Kieran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson.

Newcastle are reportedly keeping an eye on the Gibbs and Jenkinson’s situations at Arsenal since both were left at home while the rest of the squad traveled to Australia for their pre-season tour.

While Gibbs has been linked with a move away this summer, everything has been quiet from Jenks, but considering he only made five appearances for Arsenal’s first team last season AFTER getting fit, it’s probably fair to say that he’s most likely leaving his dream club this summer.

Both full-backs have just one year left on their current deals so the Gunners will probably cash in and get what they can now rather than allow them to leave for nothing next year.

Although Arsene Wenger did claim that Gibbs would be offered a new deal, if the left-back isn’t happy with his lack of game time, he might have refused to sign it.

Lucas Perez and former Magpie Mathieu Debuchy have both also been left out of Arsene Wenger’s 25-man pre-season squad, as has Jack Wilshere. However, the midfielder has been left in London to continue his recovery from a hairline fracture to his fibula, not, as far as we know, for any other reason.
