Arsenal Ladies’ new signing, Lisa Evans, has praised the club’s “mind-blowing” facilities, whilst revealing she’s already enjoying life in north London.
Signed from Bayern Munich last month, the 25-year-old forward has plenty of high level experience but revealed her happiness at the current state of affairs at Arsenal.
After experiences with Glasgow City as well as German giants Turbine Potsdam and, most recently, Bayern, it’s clear that her new adventure in London could prove most beneficial for career.
As quoted by the club’s official website, Lisa said: “Obviously [the facilities are] mind-blowing.
“It’s really impressive, the gym and all the infrastructure, all the pitches, it looks class.
“It’s a group that has got many good players and I’m just hoping to bring something different, maybe some more pace and power in the wide areas and try and create more chances for the team.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I’m looking forward to [starting].”
Questions over her acquisition have been asked with a multitude of attack-minded players within Pedro Martinez Losa’s senior squad at present.
Heather O’Reilly, Chloe Kelly, Katie McCabe and Danielle van de Donk are all players who will be eagerly contesting starting berths next season and beyond. That’s ignoring key player Danielle Carter, who could be on the move to Manchester City with her existing deal set to expire during the winter window.
