Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Monaco defensive midfielder, Fabinho.

Until this point, Manchester United were heavily linked with Monaco’s defensive midfielder, Fabinho. However, the Red Devils have recently cooled their interest and Arsenal are the club said to be still keeping an eye on the 23-year-old, according to France Football.

The Gunners’ have been linked with the Brazil international all summer. However, it was always understood that he would be signing for United, which now apparently isn’t happening.

Arsenal are thought to be willing to spend £30m on the tough-tackling midfielder.

Fabinho made 55 appearances for Monaco last season, scoring 12 and assisting six.

He still has four years left on his current deal with the Ligue 1 side and only signed from Rio Ave in 2015 after having loan spells at Real Madrid and his current club Monaco.
