Since signing for Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, what are some of the greatest things Mesut Ozil has done?
Ozil has impressed Arsenal fans since signing for the club four years ago.
The German quickly became a favourite, and was given his own song.
He also brought out this protectiveness in Gooners, since the English press don’t appear to know a good footballer when they see one.
With his Arsenal deal set to come to an end next season and the 28-year-old’s future in north London uncertain, we look back at some of the greatest things he’s done while wearing the red and white.
19 assists – one season
During Ozil’s second season at Arsenal, the German racked up a whopping 19 assists in the Premier League alone.
He’s now managed 57 in total for the Gunners over all competitions.
Blowing kisses to Spurs fans

During Arsenal’s last trip to White Hart Lane, the playmaker was not only getting abuse but objects hurled at him every time he went to take a corner.
How did he react? Simply blew the Spurs fans a kiss.
That Ludogorets goal
Arsenal needed a win away to Ludogorets to progress to the knock-out stages of the Champions League last season.
At 2-2, minutes from the final whistle, Ozil pulled off one of the most stunning individual goals ever to see Arsenal to a 3-2 win.
It was so good that it won Champions League goal of the tournament.
Obviously, we know that reaching the final 16 didn’t work out too well for the Gunners… but still… Just watch the goal, okay?
#YaGunnersYa
It started when Arsenal won their first trophy for nine years: the FA Cup in 2014.
Ozil turned to the camera in celebration after the final whistle and in German said: “ja, Gunners, ja,” translated to “yes, Gunners, yes” in English.
The phrase, as well as spelling of ‘ya’, has stuck ever since.

Ozil showed young brain tumour sufferer, Charlie, around the Emirates after the Gunners’ clash against Sunderland.
The German does tons of charity work, which often goes under the radar.

Ozil barging a Lincoln City player in the FA Cup and sending commentator Chris Sutton into a fit of rage was one of the highlights of my life, not just the midfielder’s Arsenal career.
