Arsene Wenger has revealed that he has finally made a decision about his future at Arsenal – but won’t tell anyone what it is just yet.
Speaking to the press after the game, Wenger told reporters, “I know what I will do in my future and will let you know soon. You will see.”
It’s hard not to think that he’s finally realised he must leave for Arsenal to have any chance of taking the next step. For him to admit that he has made a decision after a game like West Brom, and for that decision to be him staying would just be insane.
Surely he must see that the team are no longer playing for him. Why that is, who knows. Perhaps they see what happened at Leicester and feel emboldened? That wouldn’t fit with what they have been saying in the media, although they are hardly likely to come out and say they want him to go.
But something is not right, that is beyond doubt now.
