Lucas Perez has made the Champions League fantasy team of the week!
The forward scored a hat-trick against FC Basel on Tuesday night, helping Arsenal cruise to a comfortable 4-1 victory, which led to us finishing top of Group A after PSG drew 2-2 with Ludogorets.
The Spaniard’s three goals gave him a fantasy football score of 14, which was one of the highest in the competition this week and therefore earned him a place in the Champions League XI.
While many on Twitter are arguing that it’s not a very good team, you can’t argue with the stats. Lucas scored a hat-trick in Europe. Not many players can say that.

Other Arsenal players to score Champions League hat-tricks include Thierry Henry (Roma), Nicklas Bendtner (Porto), Danny Welbeck (Galatasaray), Olivier Giroud (Olympiacos) and Mesut Ozil (Ludogorets).
If I was Lucas, I’d be very pleased with myself considering this was only his second Champions League appearance for Arsenal and he’s only just returned from injury.
