It was, perhaps not surprisingly, another quiet day on Tuesday.

We all know the drill. Arsenal lose and the whole club goes into media lock-down, save for whichever player has been selected in this week’s apology lotto.

The rumour mill was dominated by the Shkodran Mustafi saga which seems no closer to being sorted despite people reporting that it’s close to being sorted.

Reports from Valencia are claiming that Arsenal want things to hurry up but the Spaniards aren’t so inclined to do that, perhaps hoping Arsenal will just go away and they can keep their player.

Other players we were linked with included Southampton’s Jose Fonte, Omer Toprak and Simon Kjaer, while Mauro Icardi was said to be in London again. He probably wasn’t.

Alexandre Lacazette seems like he’d quite fancy a move now after a summer of being linked with Arsenal while Yacine Brahimi might also be on the radar of Arsenal but probably isn’t.

As we mentioned at the start of this, not much newsworthy was around. Woj has been included in Roma’s Champions League squad for their qualifier against Porto on Wednesday night, Serge Gnabry is aiming for Olympic gold and our guys moaned a lot on this week’s pod.

You should probably check that out, misery does, after all, love company.
