Mo Farah is probably one of the world’s most famous Arsenal fans and even after winning an Olympics gold media in the 10,000m run, the north London team was still at the forefront of his thoughts.
When asked about whether he thought Arsene Wenger would sign a striker during the summer transfer window, the Team GB long distance runner misheard, thinking that the interviewer had informed him of a new signing. Unfortunately not.
However, when asked about who he thought Arsenal should sign and whether he thinks we will sign a new goalscorer, he was typically light-hearted and upbeat.
“I hope we do,” he said.
“Messi would be good yeah. Or Neymar, he’d be good. Let’s do it.”
I’m sure Messi and Neymar are on Wenger’s list. We can only hope, right?
Joking aside, congratulations Mo. Another goal and another brilliant performance.
Here’s Mo crossing the finish line below.
Mo Farah.
He was knocked down.
He got up.
He won gold. #rio2016 reaction: https://t.co/LwvrwbgQCy https://t.co/DACxGKyNod
