Mathieu Debuchy is reportedly still after a move away from Arsenal but the right-back wants to stay in London.

According to Get French Football Now, Debuchy was interested in a move to Roma, where Wojciech Szczesny is currently on loan, but the Serie A side moved on, and although there has been contract with Galatasaray, the Frenchman wants to remain in London.

Could this mean that the defender is actively looking to join one of our rivals? Considering he only signed for Arsenal two years ago and has barely played, I doubt he feels any strong loyalty towards the club. So, it’s entirely possible that he could move just up the road to Spurs, although they’ve not been linked.

As GFFN claim, he would prefer to stay in London but he apparently wouldn’t mind just staying in England, which spreads his net a little further.

The player really seems to want to leave, regardless of whether there’s any truth behind his specific report or not. He’s made his feelings about his lack of game time very clear in the past. Hopefully, we can find solution where both club and player are happy.
