Arsenal are expected (again) to announce the signing of Nigerian youngster, Kelechi Nwakali at the start of August after it was confirmed the player would be travelling to London.
By our reckoning, this is the third time since January that he has been on the verge of being announced.
Speaking to the press, the CEO of Diamond Academy, Emea Amajiriaku, confirmed that the player would be leaving the country to travel to Arsenal at the end of July.
“Kelechi is leaving Nigeria between 30th and 31st of July, his ticket has already been booked. His senior brother Allwell and his mother will accompany him on the trip,” Amajiriaku told Allnigeriasoccer.com
“He is in high spirits because he is joining Arsenal, he is one hundred percent fit.
“He felt sorry that the Flying Eagles could not qualify for the Nations Cup and has insisted that it is not the fault of the players. Heaven knows what happened, that is the way God wants it.”
The deal seems to be done and dusted, all that’s really missing is the official Arsenal announcement which should now, finally, come at the start of August.
