Pep Guardiola has allegedly identified Jack Wilshere as a player he wants to sign this summer according to a Sun EXCLUSIVE.

This is not the first time that Jack has been linked with City but what might surprise many is that Guardiola could want a player he once said  “Wilshere is a top player. He is an excellent player, not just Arsenal, but also for the national team. [But] he is lucky because we have many players in the second team like him but he plays because there is no pressure at his club to win titles” when he was Barca manager.

Of course, that was nonsense as we saw with the players coming through at Barca.

Anyway, what makes it even more surprising is the risk any club would have to take on Wilshere given his injury problems, but leaving that aside, Jack isn’t going anywhere.

He’s an Arsenal kid who loves the club and, if reports are to be believed, was fundamental in tapping up singing the virtues of Arsenal to Jamie Vardy. That doesn’t sound like the actions of a player thinking about moving.

There’s also no way Arsene Wenger would sell him.

Roy Hodgson has shown us all just how highly valued the 24-year-old. He couldn’t wait to pick Jack despite his complete lack of football all season, and Wenger is the same. If Jack is fit, he plays.

The big problem is the ‘if’.

Move along, nothing to see here.
