Arsenal are set to offer Hector Bellerin a new deal to ward off interest from Barcelona according to reports in the press today.
If true, this would be around the third time Arsenal have been ‘set to offer a new deal’ to Hector, none of which have materialised. That’s not saying this rumour isn’t true, in fact, it would make perfect sense.
Bellerin renewed his contract in 2015, signing until 2020 (or 2019 depending on where you do your reading).
Barcelona have already stated they aren’t interested in him but we all know that they are lying and trying to tap him up, just like they did with Cesc Fabregas every time they got him on international duty.
Bellerin, however, seems more than happy at Arsenal and has no intention of leaving.
A new deal will likely come with improved terms/higher wages so I see no reason why they won’t be able to come to an agreement and we can put this nonsense away – at least until January.
