Often maligned, Olivier Giroud is a better finisher than you think he is.

Though he hasn’t scored much in recent months, the Frenchman has managed 20 goals so far this season, including 12 in 30 Premier League appearances (only 20 have been from the start).

Add to that five Champions League goals in seven games and three FA Cup strikes, it’s not been a bad season. The frustration of Arsenal fans who want more from their first choice striker is understandable but cut the big Frenchman some slack.

Especially when meeting the ball first time, Giroud can be deadly in front of goal and will be hoping to live up to his very best form on international duty as Karim Benzema isn’t available and the French national team’s place up front is up for grabs.
