Mohamed Elneny’s Basel team-mate, Albian Ajeti, posted a good luck message to the Arsenal target on Tuesday.

Although it’s pretty much certain the Egyptian midfielder will be arriving in north London in the next few days, his team-mate, 18-year-old Ajeti, spilled the beans via his Facebook page saying, “I’m happy for you Mohamed El Nenny success in Arsenal.”

Further confirmation isn’t really needed at this time. It looks as if we are seriously signing the midfielder, who will be cover for Coquelin until he returns. It appears to be a permanent deal and the 23-year-old should be a good addition to the squad, given our recent injuries in midfield.

Hopefully he can slot in quickly in the new league and do a decent job where Coq left off. The Premier League is difficult but I’m sure he’s exciting for the challenge.

Although I’m not sure his team-mate was supposed to let the cat out of the bag at this stage…
