It may seem as if Arsenal are the Football Gods’ least favourite team but according to stats brought to light by the Telegraph, it turns out that Man City are worse off than us.

Not only have we had fewer injuries, including soft tissue related injuries, which are our specialty, but our combined time spent on the sidelines is less than average.

What?

If Man City are leading the way with injuries and our players aren’t quite as delicate as we think, why does it seem as if we’re always in the middle of a crisis?

Perhaps it’s the importance of the players getting injured for us that’s the issue. However, City currently have their golden boy Aguero out, as well as Fernando, Navas and Hart. Saying this, the Sky Blues haven’t exactly been setting the world on fire in recent weeks and their injury issues could be to blame.

Using stats to prove which team is ‘worse off’ is a fruitless task because numbers don’t include quite how valuable each player is to the team and how demoralising it can be for the club to lose one of their best.
