It takes a brave human to try and mimic Thierry Henry on the football pitch and this time it’s Caen striker Manu Imorou who’s paid the price for trying to copy the King.

After scoring in Caen’s 2-0 win over GFC Ajaccio, the forward attempted Thierry Henry’s celebratory knee slide that he did against Tottenham Hotspur (the one that’s cast in metal outside the Emirates forever).

However, the celebration didn’t quite go to plan and Imorou scuffed up his knees a treat. So distressed was the player that he took to Twitter to ask Henry if this ever happened to him.

What’s the moral of the story here? Never try and copy the King.
