Alexis Sanchez tweeted about the Chile victory over Uruguay in the Copa America 2015 tournament despite controversy surrounding the win.
Chile won 1-0 over their opponents, allowing them to progress to the quarter-final of the competition – the first time they’ve been able to do this in four of the five previous tournaments.
Chile will now either face Peru or Bolivia in the quarter-final.
However, the match was shrouded in controversy after two Uruguayan players were sent off, one of them completely unjustly.
Despite this, Alexis – who wasn’t directly involved in said controversy – still took to Twitter to air his delight at the win.
Yes feliz por el triunfo y por el equipo .. ????????????⚽️. Happy for our victory and for our team ???? pic.twitter.com/7lxuOUfBcJ
