Armenia manager Artur Petrosyan is happy that Henrikh Mkhitaryan has made the move to Arsenal and believes he will become a better player under Arsene Wenger.

Mkhitaryan completed his move to Arsenal last Monday after a difficult year and a half with Manchester United.

United manager Jose Mourinho has often been accused of mistreating the midfielder.

This is a problem he’s not expected to face at Arsenal with Arsene Wenger, who will make him an even better player.

That’s the view of his national team manager, Artur Petrosyan.

“We are very happy with this transfer from Manchester United. His style of play will be better suited at Arsenal,” he said, as reported by the Telegraph.

“It is my impression that I think Henrikh had a problem with the coach [Mourinho], and, at Arsenal, it will be another thing and not the same situation. There will not be so much pressure on him defensively.”

It was reported that Mkhitaryan and Mourinho had a bit of a falling out after a video analysis session.

Mourinho pointed out the Armenian’s mistakes in front of his teammates, something that he openly challeneged.

Before then, Mourinho publicly commented on his player’s form, stating that it was getting worse with every game.

Petrosyan believes Arsenal will be a better for Mkhitaryan because of their style of football.

“He likes them to play better football. I think Wenger is better for Henrikh,” he said.

“He is always one of the best players in the Premier league but, under this manager – Wenger – he will become even stronger.”

Mkhitaryan is the best player in the Armenia squad and his national team manager has confirmed that he will be called up for the March internationals.

“Henrikh will play. He wants to play. Even if he played twice a week at his club, he would want to play every game for Armenia. Even if I say, ‘You play just one half’, he says, ‘No, I play all the game’.”

Our new number seven could make his début for the club against Swansea next week. Wenger admitted at his press conference on Friday morning that he will make a decision on that on Monday, stating the player is ready to play.
