Aaron Ramsey has not picked up an injury despite withdrawing from the Wales squad.

The Welsh FA announced on Sunday afternoon that Ramsey had been replaced in the squad by Scunthorpe’s Andrew Crofts.

While there were fears of an injury, this was a planned change, according to Charles Watts. Ramsey should be okay for the North London derby on Saturday.

Ramsey played 90 minutes for Wales in their 2-0 defeat to France last Friday.

Goals from club teammate Olivier Giroud and Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann gave France the victory. Wales will play Panama in Cardiff on Tuesday night.

It seems Arsenal have reached an agreement with Wales manager Chris Coleman to allow Ramsey to return to the club early.

Arsenal play Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday and could do with having as many fresh and available players as possible.

This week will see the last round of international fixtures played until March. In the meantime, Arsenal will enter into the hectic winter period with games in all competitions coming thick and fast. Hopefully, Ramsey’s hamstrings will be able to survive.
