Video: 100 Olivier Giroud Arsenal goals in 140 seconds

On Thursday night Olivier Giroud scored his 100th goal for Arsenal, with a penalty against BATE Borisov.

Those 100 goals came over a period of five years, with Olivier’s first coming against Coventry City back on 26th September 2012. In tribute to his achievement, I put together a video of all 100 goals in 140 seconds, which you can watch above.

Personally I think Giroud has done a great job for us over those five years. He hasn’t always been everything fans wanted in a striker, but he’s done a great job of keeping us afloat after van Persie left. Not to mention the three FA Cups and three Community Shields his goals have helped bring to Arsenal.

There are so many good goals in there as well. The overhead kicks against Crystal Palace (59) and Bayern Munich (66), the long-range strikes against Manchester City (40), West Ham (53), Manchester United (42) and Liverpool (57), that fantastic touch and finish against West Ham again (37) and of course the Puskás nominated scorpion kick (89).

That’s not to mention all the important goals that won us a point or three last season, despite all the time spent on the bench.

Overall Giroud is a fantastic option for any squad to have, and I’m glad he stuck around long enough to get the 100th goal he deserved, writing his name in the Arsenal history books.

Congratulations Olivier!
