It appears that Alexis Sanchez is in training ahead of the Stoke clash on Saturday despite not being quite fit enough to make the trip.

Wenger recently claimed that Alexis was training well despite suffering an abdominal muscular problem ahead of the opening clash of the season against Leicester, and this definitely appears to be the case.

Arsenal’s official Instagram account have released a short clip of the Chilean training. Well, by training I mean kicking the ball at a camera but still, considering he’s not trying to break out of London Colney or crying in a corner, since life there is so terrible, I’d say this is a good sign.

Wenger had already said that it was unlikely that the 28-year-old would be fit enough to play against the Foxes last Friday since he returned to training later than most of the Arsenal squad. His inclusion in the Confederations Cup meant that he had a slightly extended break this summer.

The manager has also confirmed that he’s not quite fit enough to travel to Stoke (who is?) this weekend. However, it seems he could return for Liverpool on 27 August.

At the moment, there’s all sorts of rumours flying about Alexis leaving, with Manchester City and PSG both linked. However, while the boss is unconvinced that he’ll extend his deal past next season, the forward is still supposed to be staying in north London this season.
