Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan have been dealt a major transfer blow, with Dortmund issuing a statement saying Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be staying at the Westfalenstadion.

According to Sky Sports, the Gabon international was offered to Chelsea for £70m this summer, and was a target for Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian.

Both deals broke down, as well as wavering interest from Arsenal, and the club have recently stated their desire to keep Aubameyang at Dortmund.

“We have decided that Auba will stay with BVB. The transfer window is closed for him,” said Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc.

New manager Peter Bosz was delighted to be keeping him, saying: “I am glad that he is in my team. He is an extraordinary player. He’s a great bloke and a great footballer.”

Aubameyang scored 40 goals in all competitions for Dortmund last season and saw a number of clubs interested as a result.

But the club have now moved to make their stance very clear.
