The signing of Alexandre Lacazette could help Arsenal sign Monaco’s Thomas Lemar according to reports.

  • Lacazette and Lemar are reportedly good friends
  • Lacazette’s arrival could help convince Lemar to come to Arsenal

It’s no secret that Arsenal want Lemar, but they are finding Monaco to be tough nuts to crack.

Lemar is interested in joining and, according to reports, the arrival of Lacazette could make Arsenal an even more attractive destination.

L’Equipe believe that Lacazette and Lemar have a good relationship and would be keen linking up at club level.

The report states that Arsenal are taking a dogged approach to the transfer. They’re hoping their constant presence will eventually wear Monaco down.

Arsenal are believed to have made a new €45m offer, a marginal increase from their initial €40m.

Monaco are asking for closer to £80m.

With the two cubs so far apart, it could be a while before a breakthrough is made.
