PSG have reportedly turned to Coutinho after not making any progress in their attempts to sign Kylian Mbappé.

  • Liverpool want £87m for Coutinho
  • PSG want to pay £70m
  • Both of them are insane

PSG are one of many clubs who have been linked with a move for Mbappé, but as with all the other clubs linked there doesn’t seem to have been any progress on his signature since the start of the window. PSG have spoken to the player and his father, according to a report in the Metro, but this hasn’t resulted in anything.

The ball seems to be very much in Monaco and Mbappé’s court, since all the interest has left them in a very strong negotiating position. It therefore seems to be a case of waiting to see what they agree is the next step for the player.

In the meantime, PSG’s attentions have apparently shifted to Coutinho, claims an exclusive in Le10Sport. They plan to bid £70m according to their sources, with Liverpool wanting as much as £87m.

All this seems to suggest that Mbappé is either getting a dream Real Madrid move, or, more likely, choosing to stay at Monaco a bit longer.
