Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is said to like the idea of working with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

  • Klopp wants to play Ox in his preferred role
  • Ox has one year left on Arsenal deal
  • Liverpool willing to pay £25m for England international

With just one year left on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s current Arsenal deal, the 23-year-old has naturally been linked with a move away from north London as he ‘mulls over’ his next move.

Klopp, who’s said to be a long-time admirer of the Ox, is reportedly willing to hand him a central midfield role.

This has led the Telegraph to claim that the Ox likes the idea of a move to Merseyside, since his preferred position is in central midfield.

While the England international has been given the chance to play in central midfield for Arsenal this season, he’s been moved back out wide since Arsene Wenger changed the Gunners’ formation to 3-4-2-1.

Although the manager claims he plans on moving the Ox back into the centre in future, is the player willing to be patient?

From what Alex and Wenger have both said, it seems far more likely that the former Southampton starlet will be staying in north London. However, stranger things have happened.

This reported interest in moving to Liverpool doesn’t seem to be anything more than either tabloid fabrication or his agent trying to put pressure on Arsenal.
