Claudio Ranieri claims that Leicester City are ready to beat Arsenal on Saturday after the Gunners took all six points off them last season.

Although the Foxes’ boss was complimentary of our squad and manager, he appeared quietly confident that his side can get a result at home at the weekend after losing to Hull on the opening day of the season.

Arsenal also lost 4-3 to Liverpool but we’ve got arguably the harder job considering we’re traveling to the current Champions’ fortress. The fact that we were the only team to beat them twice last season (they only lost three times overall) says a lot and Gooners would be forgiven for going into the fixture feeling more than a little nervous.

“Yes, we lost twice,” Ranieri acknowledged.

“It’s a very good team, good manager but we’re ready. We’ll try to do our best to try to find the right solution to beat them.”

The clash also comes off the back of the news that Arsenal target, Riyad Mahrez, has signed a new contract with Leicester, something that Ranieri insists he always knew would happen.

What’s more, is that their star striker, Jamie Vardy, also turned down a well-publicised move to the Emirates.

This could be a spicy encounter.
