According to reports, Thierry Henry is going to be offered a new coaching role at London Colney.

The former forward has already been coaching at various levels in north London in order to get his UEFA badges and has even been giving advice to the attacking players in the youth squad. However, now, according to the Mirror, he could be coaching the entire u18 team next season.

Last month, current u18 coach, Frans de Kat, announced that he would be leaving Arsenal at the end of the season in order to return to his native Holland to continue coaching with the Dutch academy. In fact, Daily Cannon even speculated that this could mean Thierry would be given the chance to step up.

The rumour comes fresh off the back of talk that Mikel Arteta is off to Manchester City to take a coaching role under Pep Guardiola, which would be a huge mistake on our part. Although Wenger insists that the Spaniard can still play at Arsenal, he doesn’t seem keen on allowing him to earn his coaching badges at Colney, which is disappointing.
