Gedion Zelalem has been joined at Rangers by Maciej Gostomski after the keeper signed a six-month loan deal with the Scottish giants.
Zelalem has been on loan with the ’Gers since the start of the season and has extended his loan deal north of the border for the rest of the season after impressing in the Scottish Championship.
Gostomski is Mark Warburton’s second signing of the January transfer window after Harry Forrester arrived at the club on a free transfer as his contract with Lech Poznan expired on New Year’s Eve.
Zelalem came on as a sub for Rangers at the weekend as they thrashed Dumbarton 6-0 at Dumbarton Football Stadium.
Although he only came on in the 71st minute, he was still able to grab an assist to bring his tally up to seven assists for the season.
Speaking at the end of December when it was confirmed that Gedion would remain with Rangers, Warbuton said “Gedion is with us.
“We talked to them as part of an on-going process. It’s about us creating an environment here where clubs of that stature trust us with their players.
“That’s important medically, nutritionally, training wise, (in terms of) game-time, experience and that their players will go back to their clubs better individuals on and off the pitch.”
