The media’s known for twisting a thing or two when it comes to facts.

The most recent is Pep Guardiola’s comments on coming to England to manage in the Premier League.

“When I sign a contract I will announce it immediately,” he said.

“Maybe it will be two years until I will coach a team in England.

“I am very happy about my experience in Munich. I am working until my last second here.

“After that I will go home and wait to see if it is possible to move to England or not. If it’s not, then I won’t.”

The Bayern Munich boss has merely stated that it if there’s nowhere in the Premiership to go come Summers, then he’ll simply won’t move at that time. Nowhere does he say anything about Arsenal or any other club for that matter, except that he’s happy where he is.

The media have been linking Pep to Arsenal for a while, most probably because his style would suit our club. However, in order for the former Barcelona manager to come in, Wenger would have to step aside, which is probably how the papers are twisting that Pep’s comments mean he’s waiting for the Arsenal position to open up.

In reality, he’ll probably end up at one of the Manchester teams. I’d be surprised to see him in north London.
