The Arsenal Ladies Development team have been handed a tough draw in the FA WSL Development Cup First Round.

They have been drawn away to Liverpool Ladies, a side that won their League (FA WSL Development Northern Division) last season while the Arsenal finished second in the FA WSL Development Southern Division in 2014/15.

The game will be played on the 8th November at the Select Security Stadium in Halton where Liverpool Ladies play their first team games. Kick-off will be at 14:00, and the playing surface is a 3G pitch.

The Arsenal Ladies Development team features many youngsters who have been given first team opportunities this season like Georgia Allen, Lotte Wubben-Moy, Rianna Dean, Charlotte Devlin and Chiara Ritchie-Williams.

Hollie Augustus, Chloe Kelly, Evie Clarke, Phillipa Cowley and Alysha Stojko-Down are returning development team players and will lead the team with their experience, alongside Vyan Sampson who is back from her long-term injury.

The FA WSL rules allow each club to register up to 40 players for the first team and development squad overall.  Arsenal Ladies currently have 37 players on their books with 20 of them younger than 20 years old.

The League season has just started as well and they sit in fourth place with three points and a game in hand over League leaders Chelsea and Reading. Their next League game is on Sunday away to Yeovil Town Ladies, the return game from the only game played so far by witha 13-2 scoreline as reported here.
