Former Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba has tweeted his well-wishes to Petr Cech after his transfer to Arsenal was announced on Monday.
The striker, who scored seven goals for the Blues this season before his contract ran out, said:
Sad to see you go but I love to see you happy!!!! Good luck mon ami @PetrCech pic.twitter.com/3q4QEYXBfw

Drogba is the first of Cech’s former teammates, old or new, to comment after the deal was announced, although the club’s official Twitter also wished the goalkeeper well. The Czech international was swift in his reply saying:
@didierdrogba thank you legend

The 37-year-old signed for Chelsea the same year Cech did (2004) and they went on to play together for the next eight years until the striker left for Shanghai Shenhua, before returning for one final season last summer.
It’s great to see their respect for each other continues and is mutual, even if they no longer play for the same team.
