Santi Cazorla was on fire at the KC on Monday night as he pulled the midfield strings for Arsenal.

Grabbing a delightful assist for Aaron Ramsey’s goal, Arsenal’s second of the evening, the tiny Spaniard, like many at Arsenal after the result, believes that the Gunners must now be considered title contenders for next season.

“Of course we want to win the title next year, but second place this season is for now the most important thing,’ Cazorla said on Sky Sports 1. “We want to finish in the Champions League places and win the FA Cup final.”

Arsenal have just four league games left this season, three of which are at home and their league destiny is firmly in their own hands. Win all their games and they will definitely finish second, however with their game in hand over City and goal difference between the two sides only being two (in City’s favour) Arsenal have some wiggle room for error at Old Trafford, the toughest of their remaining games by far, providing they keep their scoring boots on in the other games.

After that, it’s off to Wembley for a showdown with Gooner Tim.
